Karelian branch of Rostelecom is the business unit operating in Karelian Republic.
The branch is reporting to Macro-regional business unit “North-West” (Rostelecom – North – West), created in April 2011 basing on North-West Telecom, after the company takeover.
Rostelecom (www.rostelecom.ru) - is a fast-growth company, the largest in Russia telecom-group, which provides services in all market segments over the whole Russia. The company is leading in Russian market of broadband and pay-TV: over 9 million fixed-line broadband subscribers and over 6 million pay-TV subscribers from which over 1 million is subscribed to unique federal product “Interactive TV”.
Rostelecom is a large mobile operator which intensively develops new generation wireless networks.
Over 13 million are currently subscribed to mobile services.

Rostelecom was assigned a ‘BBB-’ and ‘BB+’ international credit ratings by Fitch Ratings and Standard&Poor’s respectively, both with a ‘Stable’ outlook.
